My sophomore year of high school, I took an Intro to Visual Basic programming class, which sparked my love and curiosity of computers. Realizing the great potential for jobs in the programming market, I chose a degree in Computer Science from Penn State, thinking of the motto “If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.”In the Summer of 2016, I was offered a Co-op with Bayada Home Health Care, in the IT department. There, I worked as a Desktop Support Co-op, assisting the customers setting up computers, printers, and other various devices remotely.As of May 2017, I graduated from Penn State with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Dear Old State has greatly impacted my life by providing me with a degree that carries great weight in the industry, as well as extracurricular opportunities (like serving as a THON 2017 Technology Captain, among many others.)In July of 2017, I started working for Leidos (formerly Lockheed Martin IS&GS) as a software engineer. I worked on an FAA System named ERAM (En-Route Automation Modernization) that air traffic controllers use all over the World, everyday. In fact, 60% of the World’s air traffic uses the system everyday.In March of 2018, I was offered a position as a Distributed Systems Engineer with Wireless Registry (now Signal Frame). Using multiple SDKs, microservices written in Go on large AWS Clusters, in conjunction with our Data Science team, we are able to map the world through signals!
