Pharmachem was the original name of the Company and was used from its founding in 1972 until 2017. Headquartered in Kearny, NJ, Pharmachem has a long history of working closely with customers around the world to develop and produce a wide range of specialized nutraceuticals. Avkem International is a leading producer of specialty chemicals and refractory materials used by the non-ferrous metal industry. It operates two factories in Tennessee, one in Mexico and five mix facilities across the Midwest US.

Provider of management consulting, M&A advising, integrations and business operation services, mostly for Private Equity clients. Managed multiple consulting projects, responsible for planning and executing divestitures, acquisitions and integrations. Completed projects include:- 18-month CEO assignment to carve-out, integrate and re-brand new business formed by two acquisitions; Soleras Advanced Coatings. - Consulted for private specialty chemicals’ company to improve profitability, then sell the business. EBITDA lifted from $1M to $3M and subsequently sold the business. - Partnered with Private Equity firm on acquisitions of Belgian Public Company division (factories in Belgium, China, Taiwan, USA), and a privately held US business. - Partnered with management and investor, Deer Creek Holdings, to acquire the assets of Basic Resources, Inc, to form Avkem International.- Partnered with a Private Equity firm, Turnspire Capital Partners, to acquire a Division of a US privately held business to create a stand-alone business, UPG. - Director of Lapp Insulators, GmbH (2012 to 2015), working with management on multiple strategic initiatives, including acquisition and integration plans.
