The Youth Policy Institute fights persistent intergenerational poverty in Los Angeles, transforming communities through education programs and place-based initiatives. YPI is the lead agency for President Obama's Promise Zone initiative in Los Angeles, and two Promise Neighborhoods.Led Community Empowerment departments blending multiple funding streams and creating programming and partnerships to saturate Los Angeles communities with critically needed services. Specific initiatives include Financial Empowerment, Workforce Development, and TechHire, a signature Obama Administration initiative to launch innovative training and placement models for developing tech talent.

JVS Los Angeles offers hope and opportunity to our diverse community through job training, education and expert career guidance, transforming lives and empowering individuals to achieve dignity and independence.Led the Workforce Division, a network of community centers throughout LA County, including the Antelope Valley. Identified gaps in resources and created programming and partnerships to provide needed services. Served as liaison to elected officials and led advocacy efforts to expand community impact.

United Way of Greater Los Angeles is committed to creating pathways out of poverty so that everyone who lives in our communities can have a better quality of life. Worked directly with CAO to coordinate and drive organization-wide planning efforts. Designed and implemented new Customer Relationship Management system creating buy-in and accountability across the enterprise.

Developed United Way's strategic plan for a new area of investment and community impact focusing on asset-building and workforce development.Established the Los Angeles Workforce Funder Collaborative which brought foundations, corporations, and public entities together to leverage investments for greater impact and greater returns. In its first three years, the Collaborative invested more than $3.3 million and served more than 5,500 low-income families.
