MW Bartlett is a single parent working full time in healthcare administration. They have read original poetry at Northampton Poetry's Open Mic and Straw Dog Writers' Night Out, both in Northampton, MA. MW was published on the Bay Path University MFA Director's Blog in October 2015, and earned their MFA in Creative Nonfiction in 2019.MW has 25 years of experience developing, writing, and editing newsletters, departmental communications, presentations, fliers, spreadsheets, and flowcharts. They confess to being a "pathological editor." MW earned a BA in Women's Studies at Mount Holyoke College and an MA in Human Development & Gerontology from Saint Joseph University in West Hartford, CT. They have written since the age of nine when their family took a pop-up camper across the country for six weeks and their mom made the three kids keep journals. Their favorite writing forms are poetry, memoir, and personal essay. MW writes from life experience of childhood summers on a mountain lake without electricity or telephone. They most love writing about gender, family, and finding humor in even the darkest corners of life.
