    Change management, training delivery, and logistical support roles across three projects. I worked with this amazing team of people on projects within the NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ - formally Family and Community Services) as well as Oil Search. Within DCJ I assisted the project Change Lead plan, draft, and execute approved communications supporting two major technology projects. The first was a pilot rollout of new Windows 10 laptops and Office 365 / Teams to several hundred users across metropolitan and regional NSW. I designed management tools in Microsoft Excel to support the planning, scheduling, and logistics of training delivery across multiple deployment teams. As part of a deployment team myself, I presented training packages at various locations around NSW and assisted with post-pilot analysis and reporting.The second was an enterprise-wide email migration project impacting 15,000 staff in a move to an MS Exchange Online environment. As part of the change team, I helped draft communications, attended stakeholder, project, and operational meetings, and had primary responsibility for preparing and then executing a staged mass mail-out operation and providing post-project reporting and analysis.A third engagement, within Oil Search, involved a simpler requirement for curriculum content assessment and analysis, followed by a separate task to produce a dynamic Stakeholder Impact dashboard and heat map in Excel.

    I worked closely with Change Management and L&D teams to develop and deliver bespoke training supporting an end-user migration from a Windows 7 / Office 2010 environment to Windows 10 / Office 365 with collaboration tools - on upgraded laptops. This effort was part of a broader technology improvement project within the organisation.I scoped training requirements, proposed the training approach, developed session plans and materials (PowerPoint slides, a hands-on activity guide, and a series of sixteen 2-minute 'How To' videos) covering key aspects of the change. The training was delivered in a very hands-on classroom format to over 300 staff with materials made available online to support post-course learning as well as BAU operations.The training effort was supported with excellent communication and stakeholder management efforts by the Change team as well as logistical support by the technical project team. This was a very significant program for the organisation. It was well received by participants and resulted in a smooth transition to the new environment for all staff. Senior management later complimented the project team on the success of the project. For me personally, it was very rewarding to see a diverse group of people come together with a focus on achieving practical outcomes in a tight timeframe.

    I was engaged by Avant as an IBM Cognos BI consultant to assist in developing various OLAP models as well as reporting and dashboard solutions for a range of business units. Senior management and their teams were in need of improved delivery of relevant information and valuable business insights. As part of the Business Intelligence Team I worked with a group of highly skilled BI and data warehouse professionals to deliver high value results which were well received. I had the pleasure of working closely with Simon Macarthur, Avant's Head Of Business Intelligence, to meet with stakeholders, refine business requirements and enhance solution design in order to meet expectations. I created elegant OLAP models over complex business data, improved model design practices and helped standardise scripted maintenance processes across several projects. When acting in a technical design role my philosophy is "Make it Doable. Make it Repeatable. Make it Teachable". Many of the elements and features of the models I built were designed specifically with this in mind. The resulting OLAP cubes provided practical and simplified navigation for end-users, meaningful business insights as well as reconcilable drill-through capability directly over the data warehouse and selected live operating systems. As this was an early stage within the project I provided localised end-user training to key business users and offered advice and insights to the project team from my experience as a BI trainer on broader Change and Training issues typically associated with BI project roll-outs. Although only eight months long this was an intense, interesting and very enjoyable engagement.
