Following the turmoil of a company coming out of administration, I novated contracts to previous suppliers and used the opportunity to provide better services for a reduced cost, for example, increasing WAN speed by 3200% at 50% of previous cost. The infrastructure was right-sized by removing server equipment no longer needed on a fast WAN and savings returned to the business. I commissioned and developed a new datacenter for the business; the centralization of services meant that regional IT was no longer required, saving accommodation costs in London which were creating a considerable overhead on IT operations. • Built the team from three members remaining after period of administration• Redesigned and re-defined the infrastructure, bringing current best practice and cost-savings to the new business• Standardised equipment and built processes to increase service efficiency underpinned by ITIL.• Team size: 22• Budget: £4m

Taking over a global team with the UK element being told that their roles would be imminently redundant, I held the team together to provide BAU support to the business and project managed the relocation of three data centres (UK, USA and Australia). The moves were completed within six weeks with no operational downtime to the business.
