Identifying, developing, and maturing of new ideas, business models and opportunities

I worked for the process concepts and sustainability team, performing techno-economic assessments and other various tasks. Projects varied from thermochemical conversion processes, sugar conversion processes to hydrometallurgical installations.

Täffä AB is a private restaurant run by students in Otaniemi, Espoo. Täffä AB offers custom restaurant and catering services for companies and private persons. Yearly we organize around 60 events.As Vice President I was part of the board of directors, partaking in decisions concerning the company. I was also responsible for events organized for students, which includes our largest events with up to 1400 participants. As Personnel Manager I managed staff for all events. The amount of staff varied from 2 to 10 employees. The job required great managing and planning skills to organize events and manage personnel. Sitting on the board of directors meant making tough decisions that determine the future of the company. Social skills were also very relevant for consulting with the client.

As an Operator I was part of a two-man team responsible of running an automated production line. This included placing empty bottles on the production line, removing filled boxes, preparation and cleaning of the equipment before and after each batch, maintenance and paperwork. I also partook in the upkeep of the pigment warehouse and preparation of pigment batches. Technical handiness was required for the operation of the production line, as malfunctions during the night shift had to be fixed by the operators themselves. The preparation of batches required strong physique, since several hundred tons of pigment were handled daily.

My tasks included collecting raw-material from the warehouse, quality control, managing the reception of raw-materials, preparing shipment of products and conducting inventories. CSB-Systems Process Management software was used to handle the production. Careful precision and speed was required to correctly book all coming and going goods, handle inventories and prepare the invoice for sold products in time.

I worked as a taxi driver, driving part-time on weekends. My tasks also included driving VIP-drives. Extremely good customer service was required to correctly communicate with a wide variety of customers.
