As a remote intern I learned how to communicate more effectively. I researched grants for the Team and helped to organize sexual assault, trauma, and healing literature. I learned the importance of being sensitive to power differences and how people wield them. I managed the LinkedIn account which included creating posts and editing the cover photo. I also helped to upload and organize their listserv.

During my study abroad experience in Ireland I had the pleasure of working at the Computer Clubhouse under Gina Brocker, who originally hails from the U.S. Being able to chat with the kids really enhanced my experience and showed me how different upbringings can raise different sets of skills. I felt lucky to be able to help the kids produce their creative multimedia projects.

While assisting Professor Thalia Goldstein in her research I was able to work with groups of children around the age of 4. The intervention had me perform multiple tasks with the children over the summer including reading activities, pretend play activities, and block building activities. I also assisted in entering data, collaborating on how to perform the intervention, and editing videos. Working with the research assistant group allowed me to evaluate how I interact in teams and improve my communication and coordination skills.

As the newsletter intern I researched up and coming news from the professional perinatal field. I wrote article copy on the news and organized the copy for the newsletter. I also provided assistance with the development and execution of webinars and other projects. I generated the questions for a CNE test.
