Luke 18 Verse 1 states, "To Whom Much is Given, Much is Required!" After my tenure as Adjunct Professor of Caribbean Costume Design, a close acquaintance inquired about my next plans, and his question made me reflect and pause. It was a moment of humility, where I had to surrender and wait for the next direction - a point where I didn't know what lay ahead.Waiting brought a sense of purpose, and purpose led to a mission.#HelloHi & #HelloHiWorldTour was born in Aug. 2015, Barbados W.I. after the Interview with "Mornin Barbados," CBC 8. "#HelloHi" was a #Cropover2015, Social Media Buzzword with 12k hits! We started executing exquisite carnival costumes, then transitioned to Carnival individual costumes, soon to start One of a Kind Human Fashion Designs, that translates universally into productions as art for street theater Carnivals, Caribbean concerts, etc., all the while teaching, supporting, and contributing to International Caribbean Greatness.My work has been featured in various publications, including Elle Magazine (Quebec), Ebony Magazine, Essence Magazine, and various styling blogs such as Fashion Bomb Daily, White Lighting, and international fashion blogs. I have worked with Jewel Shannon Couture for ten years and was one of the Pioneer Fashion stylists of the critically acclaimed Full Figured Fashion Week NYC (Created by Gwen Devoe & Associates) '09 and '10 shows as Wardrobe Stylist for Jewel Shannon Couture.I have had the opportunity to work with well-known American Entertainers and Caribbean Music personalities such as Alison Hinds (2004 - 2012), Lady Saw, Alicia Keys, Queen Latifah, and even Phylicia Rashad for the Oscars. My first paid Fashion Styling gig was with Vera Wang as a dresser (N.E.C Fashion Consultants).I have also contributed to several sold-out concerts and concepts such as "Machel on De Beach" (Machel Montano)-Nikon Theater, Jones Beach; "Night of the Kings in King Theater" KES in Concert, and "The Machel Montano Mother Day Show." These are all Caribbean firsts in Nikon Theater-Jones Beach and the recently rebuilt "Kings Theater" in Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York.Lastly, my team and I have contributed to award-winning street theater productions such as the West Indian American Day Carnival Association (NYC Carnival), Adult Band 2nd Place Borokeete Mas - Jr. Band Leader (2012) Medium Adult Band, 1st Place Kiddies Band (2012) 1st Place, and Queen of the Band (2012) Detailz Mas Productions (Co-Founder and Former BandLeader 2013-2015), Medium Adult Band 2nd Place 2012, 2013, and 3rd Place 2014.
