The Myeloma Crowd Research Initiative (MCRI) is an approach to funding cancer research by combining the skill and knowledge of leading myeloma specialists with the patient perspective and supportive patient social communities to select and fund promising research projects in myeloma.

The Patient Empowerment Network is a network of people, foundations, organizations and medical institutions dedicated to empowering patients worldwide. Our mission is to fortify the health care consumer with the knowledge and tools to feel more confident playing a central role in decisions that affect their health, putting them more in control of their health and health care, and to especially empower patients and families dealing with cancer and serious, life-long chronic conditions so their “journey” can be better.

Our mission is to be an ongoing resource for information, support, shared experiences and hope for persons with multiple myeloma, their family and friends. We meet in Philadelphia and support the Delaware Valley Tri-State Region. MMers, family members, support persons and friends are all welcome to attend. I am dedicated to strengthening the delivery of precision medicine and clinical trials information, building actionable learning practices, and helping patients find the best treatment options for their cancer care.

As a part time Traveling Leadership Consultant (TLC) I traveled throughout the school year, visiting with collegiate chapters. My duties included officer education, leadership development, chapter organization, supervision of membership recruitment and assistance with new chapters.
