-Led phishing attack response and managed the email security training program using KnowBe4.-Implemented ProofPoint Enterprise for better control over email and information security.-Using CrowdStrike Falcon, investigated and remediated IT security events and alerts.-Managed vendor relationships, including two MSP’s, Okta, CrowdStrike, KnowBe4, and Amazon Web Services.-Worked to streamline IT services and resources during company downsizing.

Established and managed the IT operations function through a large company expansion. Assumed an IT security role as the company grew.-Managed move of IT infrastructure from one office to another during the COVID pandemic.-Drove process to transition from an under-performing managed service provider (MSP) and established a relationship with a new, more capable one.-Migrated company from the Google suite to Office 365.-Brought more than 100 laptops and servers into Active Directory over a one-month period of time.-Started a phishing-awareness program which included using KnowBe4 to send test phishing messages to all users on a quarterly basis, and then shared the results with the whole organization.-Managed a penetration test and the remediation of discovered vulnerabilities.-Implemented the Arctic Wolf security suite using their endpoint agents and network sniffing technology.-Held a weekly meeting with IT leadership to review Arctic Wolf reports and come up with action plans to remediate what was discovered.-Worked with a virtual chief information security officer (CISO) service and senior IT staff to establish security policies and standards.-Managed and monitored Veeam backup software which sent infrastructure backups to local storage as well as Amazon Glacier.-Brought in Akumo’s disaster-recovery-as-a-service technology to protect VMware and AWS environments with quarterly restore tests.-Created the IT processes for onboarding new users and processing terminations.

Managed and maintained all IT infrastructure alongside a three person IT staff.-Worked with many departments to address disparate IT needs including biology, chemistry, informatics, software development, facilities, clinical development, and non-clinical development-Upgraded the internally hosted compute cluster to Ubuntu 14 LTS, including installing a new master node, with minimum downtime resulting in minimal disruption to the Informatics department’s work.-Implemented Identity Automation’s RapidIdentity product to automate user account creation to streamline the hiring and new employee onboarding process.-Automated OS deployment to user laptops using SmartDeploy.-Ran monthly internal and external security scans, producing data reports that were presented and reviewed by the entire IT team.-Managed relationships with IT equipment vendors to choose and purchase various server room and end-user equipment.-Member of the team responsible for designing, configuring, and moving the entire company to a new office.

Managed all IT services for a satellite office housing the executive and sales teams. Supported all employee IT needs.-Oversaw an internet and phone system upgrade for the Waltham office.-Implemented company-wide backup and antivirus services.-Dismantled a colocated server stack and shipped it internationally to expand company operations.

Managed all IT operations for a userbase of 25-35 people including remote employees who worked as far away as Israel and China. Administered a complex environment consisting of an in-office server room, a colocated server stack, and cloud-based data processing and storage.-Migrated company email system from an on-premises Exchange server to Microsoft’s Office 365 cloud-based solution.-Upgraded every part of the IT infrastructure including the internet connection, email system, phone system, servers, data backup service, Active Directory domain, and user machines.-Managed a complex colocation site for a Selventa client which was comprised of 15 servers with SSL VPN and RSA SecurID components.-Implemented a corporate Confluence wiki to ease internal information sharing.-Managed an internal VMware system.
