Raised in a rural town located 45 kilometres west of Port Lincoln, the pursuit of an analytical science degree in agricultural science pulled me away from my studies in graphic design, for which I obtained my advance diploma. The skills and knowledge acquired during my time in graphic design have since proven to be valuable, and have been applied to my current studies in agriculture.Subjects I have thoroughly enjoyed throughout degree include plant science, crop and pasture production, soil and landscapes agronomy and plant & soil nutrition. Between December 2022 and February 2023, I worked on a mixed cropping and sheep farm near Narrogin, Western Australia. A part of that experience involved miscellaneous farm work like fencing, drenching and backlining sheep, and a major part involved driving the Fendt chaser bin on tracks for harvest. Throughout 2023, I was a part of the Adelaide University Agricultural Student’s Association (AUASA) as their secretary, a student representative on the Agribusiness Advisory Board (AAI) and a Waite Peer mentor. In addition to my professional endeavours, I maintain a number of hobbies, including creative writing, photography, camping, reading, bike riding, swimming, and socialising with friends.Sharing my experiences and insights on navigating a career in agriculture and academia has become a creative focus of mine.
