About :Teresa Bembury, CEO of MyGoTo Brands, is a native New Yorker whose passion for fashion ignited at the age of 16 while working part-time as a shoe salesperson in New York City. During her two years in this role, she found observing the customer decision-making process both fun and enlightening. After graduating from NYC Technical College with a degree in Art and Advertising Design, Teresa began working as a self-employed Ad Designer for Claro Shoes, a chain with five Midtown locations known for catering to high-fashion models, celebrities, and sports figures with large-size feet. Her advertisements were frequently featured in prominent media outlets such as The New York Times, Daily News, The Post, and Newsday. This five-year period significantly deepened her appreciation for high-quality footwear.Following her success at Claro Shoes, Teresa joined Time-Warner BOMC as a Design Manager, a role that coincided with the company's merger with Bertelsmann Music Group, Doubleday, and Columbia House, forming one of the largest direct-to-consumer distributors of media products in the U.S. Over her 14-year tenure, Teresa advanced to positions such as Art Director and Senior Art Director, where she played a key role in building lifestyle brands through club memberships.Today, Teresa has combined her business acumen, love for fashion, and expertise in advertising design to build MyGoTo Brands.
