I am a Linguistics major, graduating May 2022, starting to look for jobs in the Localization and Translation industry. I have a minor in Chinese Language and upper-level coursework in localization and translation. I also have a minor in Mathematics.I have a passion for connecting people, and connecting with people! My goal is to become more globally aware and culturally conscious. My real strength is in my people skills - both in my jobs and outside of them. My goal in every interaction is to make the other person feel heard and to gain a deeper understanding of that person. I am experienced working in a team, as well as managing them. I am also experienced in explaining new ideas to people from my volunteer work as a tutor through the various mathematics societies I have been in. I also have research experience. I was a part of the first-ever TAMS Summer Research Institute as an incoming junior at the Texas Academy of Math and Science in 2016. I spent the summer working in a chemistry lab - primarily on solubility models. I continued to work at the UNT Solubility Lab through May of 2017. Because of this experience, I am skilled at finding and digesting scholarly research on a wide range of topics, I am proficient in SASS, and I learned how to communicate with colleagues professionally.
