I completed my inter-provincial certification as a Journeyman Construction Electrician in 2010, and received my Alberta Master Electrician certification in 2015. I have a broad range of experience across the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. I am an innovative team player, who stays current with the latest in industry standards, technologies, and products. During my four years with International Crowd Management, I operated as a highly trained security professional, specializing in: crowd management, covert security, and advanced technical security. I worked closely with local law enforcement professionals, event management, and site security teams to provide real-time threat analysis, risk management, and incident response. I was also responsible for the installation of the company's technical security offerings.In 2011, I started with Techmation Electric & Controls in the Alberta oil & gas sector; and, spent four years working on industrial projects. I was responsible for leading electrical teams, performing quality assurance inspections, mentoring apprentices, manufacturing industrial control panels, maintaining up-to-date project documentation, and ensuring projects were completed on time and on budget.Since 2017, I have worked with the electrical team at Tolko Industries' High Level Lumber Division. An experienced member of the maintenance team, I support operations across the entire site. My primary focus is maintaining operational 'up time' through preventative & predictive maintenance, routine inspections, troubleshooting, and identifying opportunities for improvement. I consistently bring new ideas to the table, am a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee, and am well-known for my attention to detail, ability to troubleshoot, and easy-going nature.So that's all the boring work-facts, but who am I as a person? Friends would describe me as a man of integrity, who values honesty and empathy. I will always make time for someone who needs to chat about the struggles of life. I am meticulous, organised, introspective, and have a keen eye for details. I like to experiment in the kitchen - trying new recipes, baking, smoking meats and barbecuing, feeds my belly and my soul! I also have quite the collection of tropical plants, and love to spend time outdoors gardening.
