Hello, my name is Myles Keyes. I am a current student at the University of North Texas. My expected graduation year is winter 2025. I’m majoring in business marketing. I have been an employee of Nebraska Furniture Mart for the past 7 years. I started in cashiering, with my main tasks were to check customers out, applying customers for our financing, maintaining orders, and closing registers down. I later moved up to lead cashier supervisors where we managed cashiers. I would assist with customer service issues such as order problems and customer financing problems such as credit locks, approvals and denials. We would handle all cash inflow in the store and making sure all money is accounted for and balanced correctly before closing the store. I would prepare cash deposits, handle check payments and deposits, place money orders. After gaining enough experience in the front line of our store operations, I transferred to the collections department, moving from part-time position to a full-time employee. In collections I oversee 500+ accounts on a weekly basis monitoring account pay offs, bankruptcy filings, and credit reporting issues.
