The Advancement Coordinator position included but was not limited to the following:- Identifying, cultivating, and thanking new mid-tier donors by phone, email, snail mail, and in person at TRP events. - Creating original and engaging content and copy for eblasts, website, print collateral, etc. that equipped and empowered LGBTQ Christians to change exclusionary policies their churches and organizations and encouraged their participation in TRP programs. - Strategizing, coordinating, and implementing short and long- term marketing and fundraising campaigns.- Managing TRP's brand for increased visibility, continuity, and integrity, in order to inspire our constituency to take action. This including ensuring our resources, communications were consistently on brand; developing brand assets and writing brand scripts for programs/resources/campaigns; equipping leaders to adhere to branding guidelines; create the graphic design elements for collateral not assigned to our graphic design contractor.- Managing and cultivating media contacts for increased visibility of our mission and vision, as well as assemble media and donor kits for events, meetings, and programs.

The Programs & Organizing Coordinator position supported the implementation of all of TRP’s programs and organizing efforts nationwide. This position helped to cultivate partnerships with allied organizations, determined strategic programming priorities, and contributed to advancing the overall mission of the organization in collaboration with all TRP staff.Job Description and Responsibilities included but were not limited to:-Developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating strategies to carry out TRP’s mission and vision, including TRP’s teaching and training resources and leadership development strategies.-Identify, recruit, and train an inclusive network of grassroots leaders.- Fostering and maintaining strong, ongoing relationships with national grassroots and grasstops leaders.- Supporting the formation and sustainability of grassroots chapters through direct grassroots support to leaders and collective strategic planning within the Program and Organizing team.- Supporting the distribution of national resources to support chapters in their work (written guides, published resources, etc).- Assisting in identifying and supporting ever-changing needs from leaders and support the creation of dynamic curriculum and resources.- Supporting the development and management of systems to train national leaders on story collection, leadership development, base building, mobilization, and coalition building.

Founded in 2013, The Reformation Project as a national organization aims to reform church teaching on sexual orientation and gender identity through grassroots training of LGBTQ-affirming Christians. Responsibilities include identifying and developing leaders in strategic areas throughout the Southeast, working with them to create regular events for LGBTQ Christians & allies such as book discussions, training seminars, or fellowship nights. Responsibilities also included event coordinating, fundraising, consulting with pastors who want to move their church from non-affirming to affirming without loosing members or risking their ordination, and providing training for other local LGBTQ organizations on how to engage faith communities.

Public relations skills are used promote awareness, find volunteers, and organize fundraising events that benefit the organization. The position necessitates working with members of the community to educate people and explain the importance of Planting Peace's international relief efforts around the world as well as it's local initiatives. Responsibilities also extend over to administration, budget management, and strategic planning.
