I am a skilled engineer who can wear many technical hats. I have extensive work experience as an applications engineer/specialist, research scientist, hardware designer, and product test engineer. Current and past employers include Tucker-Davis Technologies, the Penn State Center for Neural Engineering, and Trane. A few key professional project highlights include creating open source MATLAB and Python workbooks for teaching neuroscience data analysis, publishing my multisite multiregion microdrive design in the journal eNeuro, and helping neuroscientists around the world setup and program complex experimental recording paradigms. I always try to apply a critical scientific mindset to problem solving, both within and outside of neural engineering. Thanks to my background in engineering, physics, programming, and biology, I have been trained to bring multi-disciplinary skills and perspectives to any project or technical challenge that I take on. This helps me to creatively tackle professional engineering problems by working up from ground truths and fundamental scientific principles when designing my solutions. My work is hopefully a testament to that.
Listed skills include Matlab, Microsoft Office, Medical Devices, Data Analysis, and 49 others.
