I'm a Boston guy, living in paradise. I am a digital marketing pioneer with a passion for all things marketing. I love to play my guitar really loudly, I love my wonderful family, and I have a heart for serving others in need.Back when modems were slow, but still made a lot of noise, I was hired to monitor dial-up communities on AOL, Prodigy, and CompuServe. One day, I built up the courage and convinced my boss to let me build the first-ever website for the horse racing industry. This decision fundamentally changed their business forever.This experience also gave me permission to wonder and fearlessly explore new possibilities throughout my career. Over the next 25+ years, I have built, expanded and/or sold a half dozen web design, digital marketing and social media firms - three of which I founded. After seven years on the board of directors for the Boston Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA), including two terms as President, I served on the International Board of Directors for 3 years and have been tenured as an honorary lifetime member of the AMA. Serving the AMA has truly been the best job for my career.I am the author of "What Executives Need To Know About Social Networking" (2009) and a contributing author for "The World’s Foremost Authorities On Marketing: Top CMOs Share What They Know Best" (2012).I have the honor of being ranked in the “World's Top CMOs to follow" on a network formerly known as Twitter by Social Media Marketing Magazine, and am on the list of "The Most Influential Ad Executives", by The Business Insider.
