Q&A: (March 2021) 1. Who inspires you professionally?I have a grand team of experts in my head which inspires me - on every occasion. People like Peter Lynch, Dale Carnegie, Philip A. Fisher, Philip G. Zimbardo, Michel de Montaigne, Peter Drucker, Jim Collins, Henry Mintzberg, Nassim Nicholas Taleb, Warren Buffett, Paul Watzlawick, Voltaire, André Kostolany, Hermann Hesse, and so on… 2. What languages do you speak?Let's say I can communicate in German - my native language - and English. 3. What were the last books you have read that you'd recommend?Two of the last English books I read were "Rubicon: The Triumph and Tragedy of the Roman Republic" by Tom Holland, and "Pale Rider: The Spanish Flu of 1918 and How It Changed the World" by Laura Spinney - both books are outstanding. And one in German: "Warren Buffett – Der Jahrhundertkapitalist: Vom Zeitungsjungen zum Milliardär – sein Weg zum Erfolg by Gisela Baur - very good read! 4. What areas of the Industry particularly interest you?I love biotechnology but also other industries with manufacturing or services - because it's all about business (i.e. management, strategy, controlling, finance, business planning, and so on). 5.
