CSC Festival is hét toonaangevende dancefestival van Rotterdam dat jongvolwassenen van alle achtergronden samenbrengt om te genieten van een diverse mix van muziekstijlen. Wat ooit begon als een plek voor Urban sounds, is uitgegroeid tot een evenement dat de volledige breedte van de dance-scene omarmt: van HipHop en R&B tot House, Techno, Dancehall, Afrobeats en meer.Met een vernieuwde visie willen we dit jaar de nadruk leggen op de culturele diversiteit en veelzijdigheid van dance-muziek. CSC biedt een plek waar verschillende culturen, stijlen en invloeden samenkomen en bezoekers de kans krijgen om een unieke muzikale en culturele reis te ervaren. Het festival richt zich op jongvolwassenen uit de regio Rotterdam met een affiniteit voor dansmuziek in al zijn vormen en een creatieve, open houding naar het leven.

Erasmus Gala is LIVE! After working behind the scenes for exactly a year, Max and I (Myouska) are happy to finally share our journey with you and officially launch Erasmus Gala on LinkedIn!A little backstory: Erasmus Gala was born not out of necessity but from a desire to elevate the student graduate experience. For a couple of years already, we organized parties for Erasmus University students, and we noticed something: Why should the fun end when you hit your thesis?We realized there was one more moment to celebrate — graduation (grad ;)! And hence, the idea of a Graduation Gala came to life. After the formal ceremony, we wanted a night where everyone could come together, dress to impress, and have one last unforgettable party. In 2023, our first Gala was a massive success, and we knew we had to keep going! Our team expanded, and we took it a step further. While not everyone can attend graduation, the final months of university are the perfect time to celebrate as a community. That’s why we hosted an (Erasmus) Gala for 2,000 students at the beautiful Laurenskerk. It was amazing. Everything we wanted to be. And that was not the end. Now, we're expanding! In addition to two official graduation parties in Rotterdam this year, we plan to bring Erasmus Gala at the end of the academic year not only to Rotterdam but also to Amsterdam and potentially Maastricht! Within ESN (Erasmus Student Network), there is the EDUK8 program. In 2023, I did my first training for trainers in the Czech Republic, which kickstarted my journey as a trainer and facilitator. After this training, I've built my portfolio by facilitating various (multi-day) trainings for educational institutions - such as SIYE Sarajevo and the SPEAK OUT program by the European Youth Foundation, and international branches of ESN.

Together with +50 active members, ESN Rotterdam organizes +170 events every year. Ranging from weekly ESN Tuesdays @ Beurs, to the monthly Walk With the Elderly and from a four day trip to Prague to Potluck dinners! Due to the wide range there is an event for everyone!

HeARTbeat Festival at Erasmus University is part of the official 110 Lustrum Celebration of Erasmus University. After having worked with the events department of EUR for the EAIE, I'm very excited to embark on this journey as Festival Coordinator. It started in October with the tender procedures, where we look at different contracting parties - right now, we are in the early stages of planning and organization, and in January, the real fun is going to start!

The EAIE is the European center for expertise, networking, and resources in the internationalization of higher education. This year, Rotterdam was granted the honor of being the hosting city for the EAIE 2023 Conference. In this process, I've been appointed Event Coordinator at the International Office of Erasmus University to make sure that the delegations of the visiting universities will have an amazing experience during the Erasmus Partner Day and Campus experience. Personally, I'm responsible for preparatory coordination and the scripts - made to ensure a clear and effective expedition of the different parts of the EAIE conference in which Erasmus is involved - as well as on-site event management.

Student Entrepreneurship is a topic very close to my heart. In South Africa I’ve helped set up multiple small businesses, and now I’m expanding that skill trough being a teaching assistant in Entrepreneurship at Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Many people with ADHD choose an entrepreneurial career over a wage job. Having an ADHD brain comes with unique opportunities and challenges for entrepreneurs. In the program Unlimited Entrepreneurship (Onbeperkt Ondernemen) with ADHD we demonstrate and discuss these specific opportunities and challenges.As program coordinator of this collaboration between RSM and ECE, I manage all communication with participants - including (acquaintance) interviews - and take care of practical issues.

At 5hellos, the pillar of successfull feedback generation is a direct and personal conversation with your customers. Trough a 30-minute focus group you will get first class input into a (new) concept for your company.

Since that I was 15 I've worked at LENS on the weekends. Working in sales and retail significantly increased my (client) communication and my sales capabilities. It was fun to work in a big team distributed over 10 affiliates and very enlightening to talk daily to many different people from all social backgrounds.After a brief break to focus on my studies, I restarted at our family company. Right now, I deliver various (consulting) services or help form different (marketing, ambassador, recruitment, or sales) strategies.

During the third year of my Bachelor International Business Administration, it is required to do an International Internship. After careful consideration, I've decided to search for an internship abroad in South Africa as the social development of that country greatly constitutes my personal interests. Additionally, after my experience in Events through managing Erasmus Extreme, I've decided to explore my organizational skills and if that could potentially become a field of work for me (as it is definitely one of my passions and I'd love to work in that industry). Hence, through continuous research Venturescapes came into my sight, and I've not regretted it ever since. Venturescapes is an (online) events company active in three niche markets: Event hospitality, Virtual Experiences, and Incentive events. During Covid, Venturescapes has progressed from being an on-site event manager towards working more behind the scenes and organizing the virtual aspect of online work conferences and meetings, including boxing of goody bags and further necessities. I'm very glad to gain this insight into the behind-the-scenes of international and professional events, and am incredibly excited for all the learning moments yet to come!

As the head of Activities and Events at Erasmus Extreme, I have really achieved my (Student) dream position. I am extremely passionate about creating events for (international) students, to establish a community on campus and install happiness within other students.

As a Animator for Recreateam, I have immensely enjoyed my (working) vacations, making new connections, stepping outside my comfort zone and enjoy working together with the strange but amazing mind of children. During Theatre plays every day, I could let myself go, and enjoy the laughter of the crowd. I ended this job because I thought it was time for new challenges and opporuntities, since it was very time-consuming. However, I am very grateful to have had this opportunity.
