I am a dedicated undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Applied Math and Physics at Stony Brook University. With a keen interest in coding, AI technology, machine learning, and data analysis, I am actively seeking internships and full time positions in these areas to further develop my skills and contribute to groundbreaking projects in the field. I am passionate about leveraging technology to drive innovation and solve complex challenges. Specially, I am interested in gaining knowledge about technology to make education more accessible and to use it to make groundbreaking discoveries in the area of mental health. My academic coursework, including Object-Oriented Programming (Java), Probability and Statistics (R), Data Analysis (R), Linear Algebra, Computation and Programming Fundamentals (MATLAB and Python), and Computation in Physics and Astronomy (C++ and Fortran), has provided me with a strong foundation in mathematical principles essential for understanding and implementing advanced algorithms and models. Additionally, my technical proficiency in HTML, CSS and LaTex, among other programming languages and tools, enables me to effectively translate theoretical concepts into practical solutions. In my current role as a Programming Intern at Human Language Analysis Beings Lab, I work at the intersection of data science, AI, and machine learning to uncover insights about human language and behavior. I leverage the Differential Language Analysis Toolkit (DLATK) to perform statistical text analyses on remote systems, generating meaningful results that contribute to our understanding of language data. I also use mySQL and Excel extensively for data cleaning and transformation, preparing datasets with thousands of records for analysis. Through Google Colab, I run DLATK analyses on self-created Excel tables, streamlining workflows for efficiency and accuracy. Recently, I presented research on the relationship between adolescent social media usage and mental health, showcasing my work’s real-world relevance and impact.Beyond academia, I am deeply involved in leadership and community outreach initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness and inclusivity. Through my experiences as a Global Minds Alliance (GMA) Senior Mental Health Peer Educator, I have honed my communication and interpersonal skills while advocating for the well-being of diverse student populations. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any opportunities or insights to share.
