Myra Reddy is the Director of Government Affairs for the Professional Beauty Association (PBA). Myra's focus includes researching and analyzing various issues affecting the professional beauty industry including local, state and federal legislation. She creates and writes advocacy campaigns, policy positions, and testimony. She speaks at variety of conferences, participates in podcasts and interviews, and authors articles. Myra serves as a liaison between state governments and agencies representing the interests of the professional beauty industry. Prior to joining PBA, she served as a staff member for the U.S. Senate, U.S. House, the Texas State Legislature, and the California State Assembly. During her tenure at the University of Texas at Dallas, where she earned a Master of Arts Degree in Political Science, Myra participated in the Essex School Methodological and Analytical Data Analysis Program at the University of Essex in Colchester, England. She also earned a Master of Arts Degree in Criminology. Myra is a graduate of the Public Affairs Council’s Public Affairs Institute, as well as the Goddard Institute of Public Affairs’ Issue Advocacy for Public Affairs Professionals Program. Myra has over 25 years of experience in government affairs and public policy.
