Ancient wisdom may say that my appetite to improve myself is working for me, that this hunger is actually driving me on to take purposeful actions that correspond to the professional I intend to become. Can you relate to my story? I graduated with an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts from Bunker Hill Community College. I’m now pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts – Boston. As a student leader, I served as club president of the African American Cultural Society and as a Senator-at-Large on the BHCC SGA. I’ve also become a regular “Change Maker” for the Massachusetts Special Olympics during their annual summer games. My background includes two rotational, underwriting internship experiences in Property Casualty insurance. I’m currently seeking opportunities in economics or insurance. Either way, I intend to work in industry so as to gain perspective before pursuing a Master’s degree and/or the CPCU designation.
