Technicolor (*worked direct, not through Kemp Transportation, dates overlap) Supervisor of Custom Packaging over seeing manufacturing of various projects ranging from custom cubes to small packs of video games and DVDs for such customers such as Paramount, THX and Microsoft etc. The department that I supervised had over 275 plus employees that I Managed by Objective (MBO). Responsibility for all so included payroll (Kronos), inventory accounting (JBA) and the processes of building various types of specialized packaged home entertainment products. Also outlined developmental objectives along with activities to achieve the goals of my department (INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN), this position is only during the fourth quarter which is the peak season and only lasts 4 to 5 months out of the year. Stepped into region with excessive inventory and inadequate staff and rebuilt territory to surpass performance objectives.

Reduced customer costs utilizing JIT (Just-In-Time) shipping tactics to customer assembly plants. Audit warehouse for compliance to 5S, FIFO and stock fill. Ensure warehouse compliances to OSHA requirements. Coordinate all receiving functions and receiving inventories. Project managed a strategic transportation plan and managed our day-to-day operations effectively. Intermodal the transfer of products involving multiple modes of transportation-truck, railroad or ocean carrier. Made sure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) was implemented to ensure a smooth flow of information, operational benchmarks and standards that superseded customer’s expectations.
