The mission of the Netherlands Food Partnership (NFP) is to advance transformative approaches for sustainable food systems and healthy diets in Low- and Middle-Income Countries. Under my leadership, the organization successfully merged AgriProFocus and the Knowledge Platform Food Security into a new legal entity with a revamped governance structure. I restructured the financial administration and introduced a comprehensive team development training program. We initiated strategic coalitions, such as SEEDNL, ClimEat, the Smallholder Digital Ecosystem Coalition, and the Soil Fertility Coalition. Additionally, we supported the Dutch government in preparing for the UN Food Systems Summit 2022. We secured new five-year funding from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Fisheries, along with co-funding from multiple private sector partners.

Hivos is an international organisation that seeks new solutions to persistent global issues. The Latin America Hub is the biggest regional office. The unit had 100 employees and an annual budget of 18 million EURO. The project portfolio was spread over 12 countries in Central and South America and the Caribbean. The regional office is based in Costa Rica, which oversees local offices in Guatemala, Bolivia, Ecuador and Brazil, and local representations in Peru, Cuba, Nicaragua and Honduras. Under my leadership the South American Hub and Central American Hub merged into the Latin American Hub. The regional team received training and new assignments that enabled them to diversify the fund raising strategy from conventional public donors to private foundations, companies and mayor donors. The program developers also received workshops and on the job training to apply Theory U, theory of change and design thinking. This helped to develop new skills to co-create together with partners in the region multiannual programs contributing to transformational change. Examples of transformational programs that were developed successfully under my leadership: - SAFE program: climate smart agriculture in the coffee and cocoa sector. A strategic partnership with the IDB and 15 partners (companies, impact investors and INGOs). A total budget of 45 million USD for 4 years. - Food and Nutrition Security program in Cuba, successfull introduction of advanced fruit and vegetable cultivation practices for smallholder growers with the support of the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan - Alianza Liderazgo en Positivo (ALEP): 11 countries, USD 10.5 million for HIV key populations- All Eyes on the Amazon: Brazil. Peru, Ecuador, EUR 17 million, 11 international partners, 20 local partners, fight against deforestation by strengthening indigenous communities with online and off line data collection strategies and connect them to campaigns, court cases, public private partnership development

The mission of the BoP Innovation Center (BoPInc) is to accelerate inclusive business development in low-income, Base of the Pyramid (BoP) markets. I established the social enterprise, built a dynamic team, established local offices in Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria and Bangladesh, and initiated and coordinated several public-private partnerships to create, incubate, and implement inclusive business models for leading multinationals and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). We formed impact coalitions that bring together multinational enterprises (MNEs), SMEs, civil society organizations, knowledge institutions, and governments. Our clients included Unilever, DSM, FrieslandCampina, Rijk Zwaan, Simgas, Mueller, Rabobank, GAIN, Global Compact, and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. • Project acquisition in the field of sustainable management concepts and trade and environment issues, among others responsible for the successful application of the integrated sustainable management proposal to the first TMF round of DGIS/ Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Netherlands. • Organisation development through the design of new training and consultancy methods related to sustainable management of small and medium sized enterprises.• Design of the integrated sustainable management approach• Application of ISO 14001, ISO 9001:2000, EUREP–GAP and SA8000 norms within the Central American private sector (among others: 8 coffee Cooperatives and Ahold, Fructa, Icafe, dairy cooperative Dos Pinos, ornamental plants companies)• Management training in areas such as ISO 14001, EUREP GAP, environmental management, sustainable development strategies, sustainability indicators, logical frame work, management of change and strategic planning. • The implementation of an integral supply chain approach within the Costa Rican- European coffee chain, which consisted of: the successful implementation of the ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 norm in 6 coffee mills, the successful implementation of EUREP-GAP in coffee plantations, the design and establishment of the SUSCOF coffee consortium, the design of social and environmental management indicators, the design and implementation of a trade strategy, the establishment of trade relations with the European coffee sector.

Project identification and monitoring in the field of poverty reduction through sustainable development concepts, cleaner production, climate change, Clean Development Mechanism, biodiversity, environmental policy development, social and environmental norms and legislation. Among others responsible for the approval, monitoring and evaluation of:• INBIO program, the improvement of strategic planning of the biodiversity institute INBIO and strengthening of commercial activities and its integration with nature conservation programs, 2001-2004• PROSIGA, program focused on the improvement of environmental policy programs in the 5 Central American Countries and the introduction of new policy instruments such as self regulation, cleaner production programs, legal incentives and compliance programs, 2000-2004.• Namasol, combining nature conservation and sustainable economic development needs in an indigenous reserve in the Caribbean region of Costa Rica, 1998-2002.• Programs presented by Central American public and private organizations for the Assistance Joint Implementation Program of DGIS and the Clean Development Mechanism through CERUPT (VROM/ SENTER), each more than USD 10 million..
