My career in technology and public policy stems from a life-long passion for how tech can both improve human interactions and shape society. If we use digital technology in a thoughtful way we can create better lives, more productive enterprises and a better society. That’s why I’m advising and writing about daily digital life, about policy, business, organizations and communications. I’ve used quite a bit of my career all across Europe and quite a bit with a focus on the European Union. I’ve lived in Brussels for about 14-15 years in total, working first - for more than six years - with EU Public Policy for Microsoft Europe and then for the next almost nine years for Facebook, where I since 2015 was Managing Director for EU Affairs and head of the Brussels office. Earlier in my Facebook career I was the Director for the Nordics, Central & Eastern Europe and Russia. And even earlier I worked in Danish Government administration.
