Project Dawn is an initiative by Amazon for inclusivity comprising of completely Visually impaired Associates and partially Visually impaired Associates.Led the initiative to perform accessibility testing on various tools along with a Visually impaired Associate to enhance user inclusivity and satisfaction.Collaborated with development teams to identify and rectify accessibility issues, resulting in a improvement in user accessibility.Generated detailed accessibility reports and recommendations, which directly contributed to the tool's enhanced user experience.Collaborated with Technical team and Operations team and designed a new UX of the annotation tool which is only keyboard accessible for the VI Associates.Trained 3 batches of completely Visually impaired and partially impaired Associates for the process.Coordinated a team of 2 annotators, provided clear instructions, and maintained data quality through rigorous quality checks for 30 VI Associates.Developed and optimized annotation guidelines to ensure consistent data labeling, streamlining the process.Reduced error percentage from 45% to 12% which helped in maintaining the quality metrics.Subject matter expert for Transcription and Wake word workflow.Awarded as Extra miler, best performer of the month for several months in rewards and recognition.
