My main research topics are light scattering simulations and inverse light-scattering problem. I have been developing the theory of the discrete dipole approximation and computer code ADDA. It allows simulating light scattering by particles of arbitrary shape and internal structure, including nanoparticles, biological cells, and various particles in atmosphere and outer space. I have also developed general methods to solve the parametric inverse light-scattering problem. This was used to deduce cell characteristics from the light scattering patterns, measured with the scanning flow cytometer.
Listed skills include Biomedical Engineering, Simulations, Physics, Optics, and 14 others.
