It doesn’t take much to understand someone. The key to understanding someone is having the patience to really understand their situation. As a customer support representative, I’ve learned that it’s very important to listen and understand one’s situation. Asking the right questions is crucial in trying to diagnose the problem. Whether it’s retail, management, or banking, understanding the situation and coming up with a probable solution is a skill that I’ve acquired through various jobs as a sales representative, retail assistant manager, and administrative assistant. I’ve had many experiences in my life that contributes to the skills that I possess today. One great experience that I’ve had in my college career was becoming an Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence Ambassador. Being an MCAE Ambassador had taught me how to adapt to different situations, solve problems using my creativity, and most importantly work as a team to overcome obstacles and challenges. My passion is to be able to use my skills and creativity to help solve and grow businesses. I’m also very passionate about growing myself as a person and leader. I constantly want to be challenged as an individual because only when I’m outside of my comfort zone is when I make valuable discoveries about myself.People often describe me as a talent collector. Growing up, I was always eager to find that one thing that I was good at. It wasn’t until my last year as an undergraduate at the University of Minnesota that I discovered that I was a talent collector. This discovery holds true because I’ve never had a task thrown at me and not excel or go above and beyond expectations. Through this discovery, I learned that I’m someone who is passionate about learning. Learning and having the opportunity to learn is something that I value dearly.
