Impressed by the innovation of this fantastic technology, I decided to make this drastic change from my normal technology discipline, to “Kangen Water”.Lead the building of the knowledge and the teams to ensure the introduction of this miracle water to Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, the task involves the development of systems and processes in addition to the knowledge needed to ensure the Kangen Water electrolysis process performs well in the Gulf Environment.

Managing various project and initiatives simultaneously, leadership and development for management and employees, strategic and broad thinking, creating innovative programs for the enterprise and corporate efficiency, excellent experience in business territories development, financial analysis, sales, marketing and in forecasting sales revenue, volume and profit.

I had the pleasure of serving this conference since its inception as aspeaker and member of the organizing committee, it is however in 2003 that Itook over the responsibility of leading the “Elite Members” of the GIS communityin Bahrain and the region, year after year I have enjoyed the interaction and the networking with members of the organizing committee and Key Note speakers.As a chairman of the conference I have the privilege of listening to allthe discussions and fruitful arguments coming from the team to how we can improve the conference and bring it out in a style of its own, the testimonialI receive from the international visitors and speakers gives me the energy to continue seeking excellence for this conference.

In this capacity I have the responsibility of leading the teams of various disciplines and capabilities to deliver the company objectives and sustaining Rolta as one of the leaders in the main three business verticals: (EGIS) Enterprise Geospatial Information Solutions also incorporates mapping services, (EITS) Enterprise information Technology Solutions, (EDOS) Engineering Design Operation Services. This role requires high level interaction and relationship management with high ranking government and military officials who are responsible for the strategies of the utilities and home land security services.

As Batelco moves into the 21st Century Network and the demand for Global MPLS services increased, Enterprise Customers wanted a strong project management methodologies to ensure migration to new network architecture is properly managed and risks are well mitigated to reduce the effects on their business, hence I was requested to set up the Enterprise PMO, which became one of the success factors and influenced the number of customers signed up, with total projects value managed by PMO amounting to USD30M.

In this position I am responsible for the service management for the government and Business sector to ensure the clients receives the optimum service quality, the activity include, Service Management Unit, Sales Support, Business Solutions Service Delivery which includes PBX and Datacom Services, Service Assurance, Batelco Support Centre for Business Customers and Text & Maritime Services.Whilst in this position also managed the “Citi Bank Global MPLS Project” this required the management of Batelco Network Resources, Product Management Resources and Service Management personnel in addition to Batelco legal team, to put this account right, it also involved coordination with Telecom Italia for Europe Traffic and Etisalat for UAE traffic.The following deliverables were made, development of High Level Design document, Sales Proposal, Service Level Agreement (SLA), Monthly KPIs & Performance Report and Contract, all documents were accepted and signed by the Client which was hailed as a great success to Batelco in this new business.

Responsible for the Network Operation Centre, Number Plan Management, National Switching, International Switching, National and International Operations, International Submarine Cables, Satellite Earth Station and VSAT services, because of my interpersonal capability, my task was to disassemble this large department and move it with the most skillful staff to the 21st Century Network Management department without effecting the staff morals or the network operations in the process. During this period acted the care taker to Batelco mobile network in a transitional period.Whilst in this position initiated and delivered Batelco First, World Class Network Operation Centre (NOC) incorporating single point of management of all Batelco networks and providing a show case for customers and other operators, who wish to use Batelco service or collaborate in its operation.

Prime responsibilities for long and short term engineering development of systems, manpower and financial forecasting, with an estimated USD 15 million, annual capital expenditure budget, with total manpower of 415 staff representing 25% of Batelco work force, development and training to keep up with the rapid technological developments in this field is also a prime responsibility of this post.Responsibility for pre-qualification assessment and selection of contractors to perform Batelco Civil and Cable works, the evaluation of tenders and award of works. Managed and delivered IT and specialized projects totaling at least another USD 20 million.Appointed by Ministerial Decree to the National GIS Committee for kingdom of Bahrain.
