My main focus today is kubernetes and everything that surrounds it. I combine k8s with CEPH, Calico, MetalLB, HAproxy to buildd air-gapped enterptise (4 so far) and experimental RaspberryPi clusters.I have experience with Huawei, Amazon and Microsoft clouds - from the perspective of kubernetes and other modern solutions like amazon's lambdas.I'm big fan of devOps culture. My understanding of the role is to optimize costs by measuring and optimizing. I recently was appointed as team manager.I'm proficient with anything around modern IT: ansible - terraform - gitlab - jenkins - jira/confluence - pipelines with automated tests (including security) - and many ore - you name it.I can program with shell (bash/zsh) and Python to solve simple, ad hoc problems. I follow CPPcon conferences to develop more C++ skills in order to be able to learn about low level optimizations like out of order execution, caches branch predictions etc. in modern CPUs. From combing Ethernet cables through designing rack layout to planning and executing migrations.Through 21 years of experience I worked with technologies of the time. I started with bare metal Linux, Solaris and AIX based systems using archaic dual 450MHz PentiumIII or Sun Ultra Enterprise or IBM eSeries platforms (with just introduced to x86 world ccNUMA technology) combined with EMC2 and CISCO hardware. There are too many software solutions I got familiar with during the time to list here. I even had opportunity to work with IBM mainframe systems.I have very good understanding of hardware - servers, networking and storage.I can configure advanced aspects, solve problems and tune performance mainly on Linux and Windows.I have understanding of network technologies with solid experience from IPv4 and v6 up to core technologies like BGP or MPLS (thanks to affordable MikroTik routers). I don't have certificates but I can confidently work with CISCO or Huawei enterprise networking solutions.I have broad experience in access control (including ethical hacking) , intrusion, video and networking products. I am highly skilled in installation, configuration and debugging of those systems. In free time I design/build/program anything from microcontrollers (AVR/PIC) through FPGA (Xilinx) to embedded Linux platforms (ARM). I'm capable of designing hobbyist PCBs and make them using providers like PCBWay.
