I was also responsible for drafting request-for-proposal and quotation documents, along with creating evaluation criteria to assess responses effectively. Additionally, I participated in evaluation panels to ensure adherence to best practices, supporting Sasol’s commitment to fair and compliant vendor selection.

At Sasol Technology, I was responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts to ensure they met both legal and operational standards. I supported the Human Resources team in sourcing service providers for assignees, enhancing the efficiency of our procurement processes. I also drafted request-for-proposal and quotation documents, creating tailored evaluation criteria to assess vendor responses effectively. At Phukubje Pierce Masithela Attorneys (PPM Attorneys), I began as an Associate Attorney shortly before my admission as an attorney in February 2006 [I was admitted on the 27th February 2006]. My role encompassed a range of responsibilities, including litigation and drafting and reviewing various agreements such as shareholders’ agreements, sale of shares agreements, and confidentiality agreements. I also worked on ICT law transactions, assisting clients with commercial radio broadcasting license applications and advising the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa during subscription TV license hearings. In addition, I handled general commercial law matters, providing well-rounded legal support across various sectors.

As a Candidate Attorney at Paul Casasola & Associates, I gained foundational experience in litigation and client representation. My responsibilities included drafting letters of demand, preparing summons and other court pleadings, and organizing briefs for counsel. I also coordinated consultations with counsel and attended them, along with accompanying briefed counsel to court. This role provided essential hands-on experience in court procedures and client advocacy, setting the groundwork for my career in law.

I was responsible for handling claims against third parties for damages arising from motor vehicle accidents. This involved drafting letters of demand and, where justified by the amount claimed, instructing attorneys to pursue legal action. My role combined legal and negotiation skills, focusing on securing optimal outcomes in claims recovery while managing the legal aspects of the process.
