Designed the mechanical layout, packaging, BOMs for 15+ configurations, assembly instructions, and GD&T-based 2D fabrication drawings for system components in AutoCAD. • Reduced the cost of the BUC RSW system by ~20% by improving DFA, converting plate parts into singular sheet metal components, and optimizing the assembly by analyzing thermal performance through a coupled thermal/ flow analysis in SolidWorks Flow Simulation. • Improved thermal performance of synthesizer PCBA by 8% by reconfiguring the placement and types of thermal vias used. • Conducted design prototyping on BUC vibration plate using in-house CNC to meet operational vibration and shock requirements.
