Máté has been a practicing lawyer since 2005 as founder and managing partner at D&G Dobos Gerlai and Partners Law Firm, Budapest. His area of practice is corporate, business and taxation law, however, the focus of his office also covers labour, property, civil law and litigation. The Law Firm has been working in close partnership with MEYER & LEVINSON GROUP OF COMPANIES since 2008, of which Máté is a founding member and managing partner.With Máté MEYER & LEVINSON has been engaged in traditional corporate services, legal, taxation, accounting and has a total number of in-house staff of 30 people at two locations in Hungary. MEYER & LEVINSON is also present in the UK, Cyprus and Germany via partner offices.Máté is nowadays filled with management of investment activities of MEYER & LEVINSON, an activity that is based on partnership with investors and clients of the Firm. Máté is the exclusive shareholder of OPTINVEST PLC, specialising in real estate investment and development at prime locations, mainly in Budapest and surrounding areas. Máté and his Team at OPTINVEST has been lately engaged in developing a new brand, Eclectic Office Collection by OPTINVEST.Máté had the chance to spend two years in the US, in the nineties, he was working for Ormai and Partners CMS Cameron McKenna Law Firm for 4 years where he got in close contact with investors from the UK, US and The Netherlands. Accepting the invitation of a Dutch investor, he set up the in-house legal department of the then largest logistics company in Hungary, serving several departments of the company across Europe. Máté was also the member of the international management team of Rynart Transport.Máté and his team at MEYER & LEVINSON are now serving mostly international customers being already present or arriving to invest in Hungary with traditional corporate services. Máté is also a member of the Budapest Bar Association of Lawyers, and ITPA.
