INTRODUCTION The Vietnam Digital Communications Association was established under the Decision No. 68/QD-BNV dated January 25, 2011 issued by the Minister of Home Affairs and Decision No. 316/QD-BNV dated April 9, 2012 of the Minister of Home Affairs with approval of the Charter of the Vietnam Digital Communication Association. The Association is a voluntary organization of individuals, organizations engaged in research, training, dissemination, application, production, business and services in the field of digital communication, including individuals with interests and abilities with the need to use the means of information, electronics and digital devices in communication activities; enterprises and organizations with demands of electronic means and digital devices in communication activities such as computer networks, telecommunication networks, transmission networks, radio transmitters and other integrated devices for application to produce, transmit, deliver, collect, process, store and exchange digital information, and to those who are interested in contributing or facilitating the digital communicationdevelopment in Vietnam. The Association is an entity to protect the interests, gather opinions of members to reflect and petition to the authorized institutions on matters related to the field of digital communication. The Association provides services in consulting, supporting, cooperating, linking, exchanging information and experiences, participating in developing strategies and plans for digital communication development in Vietnam, to make a considerable contribution to the implementation of the project "Bringing Vietnam forward a robust country in information and communication technology by 2020 "and successful international integration.
