I am an eager learner and highly value education. I dedicated myself to learning about the human condition and the social world by gaining a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Sociology from Indiana University Bloomington. Since gaining this education i have spent much time thinking on how to apply what I have learned into my work. As well as, what means of work will not only fund my future education and support my family, but will also add to and further develop my abilities to learn, gain mobility, and promote equity, change, & justice within society. After much meditation, I have concluded gaining entry level work in the legal field as an assistant, librarian, secretary, or other entry level position would be a step in gaining a means of work that would be able to combine these goals. When i think of working in the legal field i feel a sense of drive and purpose, as well as see as large potential for growth and specialization. Also, I believe the research, organizational, and problem solving skills i gained from my education will enable me to eventually excel at the work required of a legal assistant. In conclusion, I am extremely interested in gaining specifically remote legal work. I have been suffering from a chronic hip injury since 2015 and received surgery for it in 2019. However the surgery was unsuccessful and i continue to attempt to recover from this injury. Working from home allows me to combine my office and rehab equipment, as well as reduces the amount of walking and pressure I have to put on my hip. I have worked remotely in the past and was extremely productive due to my ability to focus on my work rather than worrying about damaging my leg.
