As per its MoA, the organisation functions in two tiers: (i) The Indian Police Foundation - a multi disciplinary think tank to work for comprehensive police reforms and (ii) The Indian Police Institute - a professional organisation for Indian Police officers. The Foundation was formally inaugurated by the Home Minister of India, honourable Shri Rajnath Singh on the 21st October, 2015.
