This class was a ground-breaking academic experience where students were able to explore emerging technologies such as web scraping; creating custom worlds for the Meta Quest Virtual Reality headset using Godot; advanced hardware applications using the Raspberry Pi; developed Prompt Engineering skills for Generative AI; created machine learning models and utilized concepts in Artificial Intelligence to create algorithms that correctly identified objects from one another. The foundation of the course utilized Agile Development, developing technical writing, collaboration and presentation skills. More than a Capstone Class, Advanced Projects was an experience that mirrored the rigor and expectations of a professional business. "Nayan was an exceptional part of this class and stood out as someone that has a thirst for Computer Science. Through the development of his Capstone Project Attendance Buddy, a practical tracking system that monitored a student's movements to and from the classroom, Nayan was instrumental in writing code to pair an Arduino and an RFID reader with monitoring software. He has completed every Computer Science offering in Pleasanton (Computer Science Principles, AP Computer Science, Cybersecurity and Advanced Computer Science Projects) and has a thirst for knowledge. His work is always thorough and exemplary as he is someone that collaborates and contributes above and beyond expectations.
