Currently serving as a Research Fellow focused on investigating gynaecological diseases, my research encompasses early biomarker detection and the development of organoid disease models to find solutions for major women's health issues.

Involved in different nano, occupational and eco-toxicology projects, I) Secondary genotoxicity of nanoparticles (NPs)/chemicals on lung cells: project involved to evaluate secondary genotoxicity of NPs using a co-culture model with macrophages and lung epithelial cells. II) Assessing the toxicological aspects (genotoxic effects) of 3D printing metal particles in macrophage and lung models: project involved to assess the genotoxicity of particles by Comet, Micronucleus assays, and evaluating their inflammatory response through cytokine profiling. III) Establishing a high-throughput micronucleus method using flow cytometry: Developing a flow cytometric method to detect DNA double stand breaks (considering both clastogenic and aneugenic effects) caused by NPs/chemicals using advanced in vitro models. IV) nPETS project: to study the effects of nanoparticle emissions from transport sector on humans.

Started my research career as a research intern at CSIR- Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, India and trained in in vitro cell culture, molecular biology techniques and operation of high-end instruments (Flow cytometer and Electron Microscopes). I was engaged in several nanotoxicology projects, handled different cell lines to understand the genotoxic effects of nanoparticles by Ames test, Comet and Micronucleus assays.
