As job share Co-Campaign Director of the Forest Land and Climate Department I sat on the senior management team responsible for the day to day management of GW. I oversaw 22 staff in 7 teams conducting campaigns across 10 countries with a budget of 2 million. I oversaw the strategic revisioning of the environmental defenders team and Liberia team and initiated the forest team restructure. I led and supported campaigns to carry out impactful investigations in high risk environments that considered the security of staff and local partners, devised campaign strategies that delivered results, produced substantive publications and communications materials that were legally sound and targeted to the right people in the right places. I managed complex funding relationships and maintained funding relationships despite the shifts within the campaign.

Provided intellectual leadership and direction for all of Global Witness's work in Liberia and Sierra Leone. Developed and implemented the campaign strategy, budget, donor reports and applications, managed staff and consultants. • Successfully lobbied the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to maintain timber sanctions, for the renegotiation of a US$900 million iron ore contract, with international stakeholders leading to an US$150 million dollar agreement to protect Liberia’s forests, with Liberian Government to change its position on land allocation in palm oil plantations, with our partners to ensure that Land Law and Forest Law respected FPIC, and for a new oil law to require transparent and competitive tendering.• Collected evidence for/supported the prosecution of a head of state, a European national for war crimes, the Liberian Truth and Reconciliation Commission and a British national for corruption.• Developed strong working relationships with civil society, managed partnerships, as well as providing strategic campaign support and capacity building through joint advocacy trips and reports.• Profiled GW’s work with the media - live and pre-recorded radio interviews, live television and print journalists.• Led, participated in, and supported team members carrying out high & low risk investigations in West Africa.
