I have 20 years of experience working on human rights and the environment developing strategic campaigns in the climate sphere with strong communications components. I was most recently a Campaign Director at Global Witness and am now an independent consultant supporting organisations to develop and implement strategic and impactful campaigns, investigations and programmes.I am driven by a committed to protect the rights of the world’s most vulnerable people and the environment they rely on and support grass roots ownership of solutions. As a Campaign Director and Deputy Director at Global Witness I led 22 staff in 7 teams, including remote workers, carrying out campaigns across 10 countries with a budget of £2 million. I supported the organisations strategic revisioning which placed climate at its heart and oversaw subsequent campaign redesigns in response. I improved the departments digital and physical security and supported pioneering undercover work in South America which led to criminal indictments.Prior to being a director I conducted investigations, campaigns and advocacy on natural resource governance, conflict and corruption in West Africa and Burma.Key skills:Expertise in human rights and the environment, environmental defenders, Liberia and Sierra Leone, and strategic communications.
