I am a physicist presently working at Fermilab as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Being a physicist at Fermilab is like being a kid at a physics candy store but one of my immediate interests is to deliver delicately time-structured proton beam pulses to an upcoming experiment at Fermilab called `Mu2e'. This beam delivery would be achieved using a non-linear beam physics process called ‘resonant extraction', the topic upon which my PhD was on.One of my other active interests is to apply cutting edge Machine Learning (ML) techniques to let an ML agent control particle accelerators. I build and simulate physics environments in which I let an artificially intelligent agent train hundreds of thousands of times to learn to control a particle accelerator. I also like thinking about possible new particle physics experiments that could push our knowledge of mother Nature. One such idea is to measure a quantity known as electric dipole moment (EDM) of a fundamental particle called muon by modifying and re-using an already existing storage ring at Fermilab (I believe in recycling). In other times, I like to work in accelerator theory and attack non-linear beam dynamics problems that usually involves staring at a bunch of coupled Hamilton's equations each with fifteen terms and seeking the ones to which I can wave my hands and ignore to get an expression that could fit into an A4 size paper. In my free time, I play chess, oil paint landscapes, ride horses, play Indian classical music with my flute, bake breads (sourdough, focaccia, ciabatta, challa, and more), play badminton, camp and hike the mountains, write short stories, garden tomato plants, sing in the bathroom, and pursue private pilot’s license (for general aviation).
