Served on the housing rehabilitation team. Coordinated, trained, and lead volunteer teams on site; preformed construction on rehabilitation houses and new construction; maintained and organized tools and work sites; practiced judgment through improvised problem solving; collaborated with in-house construction teams and external sub-contractors.

Supported in routine ecological surveys in rural Missouri as part of an ongoing study into tick activity and tick load on small mammal populations. Acted as team leader for small mammal collections and tick sampling; assisted with specimen identification and data analysis.

Worked and lived on-site to collect ticks for an ongoing investigation of Lyme Disease on Block Island, Rhode Island. Performed mammal trapping and processing, microassay preparation, tick and small mammal identification, and data entry.
