With expertise in data protection and cybersecurity, the role as Executive Chairman at FDPPI involves pioneering standards for digital privacy compliance and advocating for robust data governance. The competencies are reflected in the development of the Data Governance and Protection Standard of India (DGPSI) and contributions to legislative efforts on Neuro Rights and AI Regulation. Naavi, is a pioneer in the field of Cyber Law and Data Protection law in India and a leading HIPAA, ITA 2008, GDPR and DPDPA (Indian Data Protection compliance) consultant and auditor. Naavi authored the first book (1999) and first E-Book (2003) on Cyber Laws in India. and other books including E Books, “Cyber Laws, ITA 2000 and beyond”, “Cyber Laws for Engineers”, “Cyber Crimes and ITA 2008”, Personal Data Protection Act of India (PDPA 2020) and recently “Guardians of Privacy, Comprehensive handbook on DPDPA and DGPSI. Naavi is the founder of www.cyberlawcollege.com which is the pioneering Virtual educational institution in India dedicated to Cyber Law Education and is a visiting faculty in a number of institutions including NALSAR Hyderabad. Naavi also conducts the program “Data Protection for Business Managers” with IIM Udaipur as part of their DEM (Digital Enterprise Management) Course.Naavi is a thought leader and has developed exclusive framework for compliance and audit namely “Data Governance and Protection Standard of India ” (DGPSI), a standard for data valuation namely “Data Valuation Standard of India”, Method for evaluation of compliance through “Data Trust Score” (DTS) .
