• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Procurement & Logistic department in line with company policies & procedures• Responsible for Importing FMCG food and non-food items from various countries for distribution in Qatar. Negotiating with the vendors for best rate, delivery and payment terms and encouraging price bidding to achieve the best offer.• Responsible for the tendering, negotiations and drafting key strategic and long-term agreements.• Develop and manage the tender planning and execution process.• Manage the tender evaluation process to ensure alignment of the same with thecompany’s set policies and procedures.• Manage the negotiation of contract terms and the search, initiation of contact andshort-listing process to ensure uninterrupted delivery of quality goods and services in acost-effective manner within the stipulated time lines and budget constraints.• Manage the tender process and its related activities whilst adhering to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s policies to ensure an uninterrupted delivery of quality goodsand services in a cost-effective manner.• Manage the implementation of all contracts from inception to close out to ensurealignment of the same with the respective obligations; develop necessary risk mitigationplans in order to reduce risk effect on the company’s financial assets.• Establish and maintain relationship with suppliers for perfect execution of tender andsupplies.• Manage the necessary analysis (i.e. vendor cost/price proposal, to ensure alignment ofcontracts with the best interest of the company.• Ensure ongoing reporting to superiors to keep them abreast with regard to contractsprocess – from a performance aspect - status, as requested.• Liaison with Ministry of Public Health to obtain “Final Release of Foodstuff”.• Estimating landed cost and fixing the selling price for distribution of FMCG productsimported.

• Responsible for Importing FMCG food and non-food items from various countries for distribution in Qatar. Looking after entire distribution division’s function.• Receiving purchase orders generated through ERP software from branch for the fast moving food and non-food FMCG items.• Conducting market study and analysing the sales trend of those items to find out whether there is really a scope for import to Qatar.• Developing multiple sources for each item needed and sending RFQ/LOI emails to the potential vendors across the globe, seeking the Quotation.• Negotiating with the vendors for rate, delivery and payment terms and encouraging price bidding to achieve the lowest price.• Preparing and submitting the import proposal to management based on the best quotation received.• Liaison with Bank to Establish LC’s (Letter of Credit). Familiar with both Traditional banking and Islamic Banking Trade Financing.• Liaison with customs clearing agents to clear the goods from the port/border up on arrival of goods.• Ensure the quality & quantity of material purchased.• Estimating landed cost and fixing the selling price.• Doing Letter of Credit Accounting in Quick books Software• Stock verification, analysis of vendor performance, Price Variance and purchase relatedall responsibility- new vendor development, price negotiation with vendor, POreleasing, Material delivery and payment etc.• Maintaining all procurement documents

• Purchasing FMCG goods within the State of Qatar for re –selling by analysing the purchase requisition forwarded from each branches.• Selecting vendors and negotiating terms to obtain necessary goods in timely and cost effective manner.• Soliciting promotions, rebate, listing fee, shelf rent etc. from vendors and obtaining favourable payment terms.• Strategically negotiating and managing contracts, agreements, and renewals and pricing policy.• Establishing and enforcing procedures to ensure proper recording and tracking of all items purchased by the company. Informing suppliers of unacceptable goods and obtains credit for returned items.• Authorizing Purchase Invoices and passing to accounts payable department for payment process.• Evaluating vendors for on-time performance, in conjunction with customer service department and maintain strong alliance with corporately supported vendors• Keeping abreast of significant trends and changes in suppliers and prices to capitalize on opportunities to protect company positions.• Forecasting future demands to ensure availability of adequate goods.• Managing customer and supplier relationships to achieve the best value acquisitions.
