Current:I have graduated in BSc Civil Engineering Honours Degree. I currently work as a setting out engineer.Training:I have my SMSTS and First Aid certificates. I have got my CSCS, LUCAS & PTS. I have used AutoCAD & Strand 7 for many years. I am a graduate member of ICE. I am currently doing a C&G course in Advanced Surveying and Setting out Procedures.Setting Out:I can use the Leica & Topcon Total Stations, Laser Levels, Dumpy levels, EDMs and several other setting out tools. The Projects have involved setting out base points and grid lines for foundations pads etc, Leveling and positioning for foundations, Pad stones in masonry walls for steel beams, partition walls in residential projects, services including pipe runs, and underwater foundation positioning and Leveling on a structure floated to position then submerged, as well as working on the underground and rail settings on setting out cable runs and civil works.Degree:As part of my Degree I have covered Health & Safety Laws, CDM regs, Building Regs, and British Standards and Euro Codes. I have done Structural Calculations for several structures and Geotechnical Design Calculations. Other calculations include Fluid Design Calculations (in Reservoirs, Rivers and Oceans), Environmental calculations (including dispersion of exhaust fumes and ground water pollution dispersion along ground water flow paths). I have also covered Highways & Traffic Engineering Design and Usage Calculations as well as Water Resource Management Theory and Practice.Future:In the near future I hope to progress into a Design / Consultancy role where I can work more on the design elements like Structural, Project management, etc. I hope to complete my Masters and become a Chartered Civil Engineer.
