I’ve been working for over 20 years which allowed me to gain lots of work skills in a variety of fields that I can utilize in the nursing field, it also consolidates my work ethics and promotes my level of responsibility, flexibility, adaptability, and perfection, in addition to the excellent time management.I am a new graduate of Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) and I am in the process of applying for the RN-BSN bridge program at The Western Governor University (WGU) with an anticipated graduation date in 2021. I also have two other degrees; Bachelor of Archaeology and Master of Egyptology and Tourism, which made me a detailed oriented researcher and easily found resources needed for whatever task or mission I’m pursuing. I had several opportunities to gain clinical experience at Bellevue Hospital Center and other City and Non-for-Profit hospitals. I have completed clinical rotations in Psychiatry, Rehab, Medsurge, Obestatric, Pediatrics and Nursing homes. I have also volunteered in the Margret Whitehorn Summer Externship at Bellevue Hospital summer of 2019. During clinical rotations and the Externship, I improved my skills in patient care and safety as well as mastering many nursing skills, medication administration, and critical thinking.My past work experience as Educational Paraprofessional working mostly with medically fragile children will help me at my future nursing job in several ways; dealing with disabled students for several years will give me a better understanding and performance of taking care of acutely ill patients at the hospital setting, moreover, helping them with their needs and offering divers comfort measures along with all nursing duties.My nursing degree and clinical experience will definitely help me succeeds in my future nursing career and will be a great chance for me to utilize my skills and knowledge and fulfill my eagerness in helping critically sick patients.
