Responsible for realizing Samvardhana Motherson Group's (SMG) data warehousing project by managing the categorization of suppliers, commodities, development and launch of internal purchasing applications and business intelligence dashboard. • Created parent-child relationships for over 10,000 suppliers including location mapping and capturing similar or misspelled names to identify negotiation opportunities such as higher rebates• Worked with commodity specialists to create commodity classification categories such as type of paint or paint base for better analysis of commodity usage and procurement planning• Liaised with Global Purchasing Managers to create Global Categories for over 20,000 purchased materials in order to identify purchasing trends and opportunities for leveraged negotiations• Data consolidation efforts allowed procurement managers to generate over $3 mil in savings and benefits• Managed the development of a procurement portal to showcase internal news and commodity pricing trends • Developed a global purchasing dashboard that allows users to quickly view purchase trends, spending per supplier and commodity categories• Worked with Risk Management and Supplier Performance departments to identify high performing or low performing suppliers as well as supply chain risks for business planning and negotiation
