I wanted a way connect with the food community and culture in Oklahoma City. Plus, help build awareness (and appreciation) for the incredible food and extremely talented chefs we have in our city. About 10 years ago small businesses didn't have a lot of resources to help with their branding and marketing needs. If they had the resources, a marketing agency was the answer, otherwise, they'd have to scour whatever marketplace or contacts they had to find a friend, relative or freelancer to help them succeed. Online freelance/gig marketplaces and cloud based software/services like Canva weren't extremely prevalent (if at all) like they are today.It all started as a freelancing project with a small business grew into a business that has allowed me to work with 100s of businesses nationwide and manage a team of artists and contractors.Fast forward to today, I work with a select number of clients and provide support to their marketing and creative teams. Or lack thereof.TL;DR Grew a freelancing gig into a business helping clients create, maintain, and/or grow their brand with good design and digital content.

I create and design content at the Oklahoma Association of REALTORS®.In addition to the daily video/graphic needs of the association (social media, emails, newsletters, announcements, etc), I develop branding and promotional materials for all conferences, events, and programs the association offers and/or hosts.Soon after I started at OAR, we were able to bring the entire production of our video Annual Report in-house, including the post production and motion graphics. The Annual Report is one of my favorite (and largest) projects every year!In January of 2018, we launched the association podcast, Talking Real, to serve a resource for Oklahoma REALTORS®. Now with over 65,000 listens (plus ~30,000 live video views), the podcast is used as model and benchmark by REALTOR® Associations nationwide exploring starting their own. A unique aspect of working in the association world is the connection, learning and idea exchange that occurs with people in similar roles across the country. I've had the opportunity to teach and help other Communication Directors across the country learn new video skills and launch their association podcasts.TL;DR I design/create graphics, videos, and podcasts, and teach others to do the same.

At News Channel 4 (KFOR) I was the primary artist for the evening and nightly news broadcasts.The main objective: To work with producers and reporters to create engaging on-air graphics, motion graphics and animations for the daily news broadcasts.Sweeps months* were particularly exciting because that meant special news reports. These reports were more in-depth than a daily/regular news story and content gathering typically occurred over several weeks. My favorite part was creating the animated opens and supporting visual elements for these reports. * Several times each year, Nielsen Station Index (Nielsen Media Research’s local market measurement service) collects demographic viewing data from sample homes in every television markets in the United States.

As the manager of a frozen yogurt and smoothie shop I:- Established and maintained daily operating guidelines- Managed inventory- Created work schedules- Recruited and trained team members- Ensured guests had a great experience- Created the secret menu!

- Responsible for developing and implementing marketing initiatives for the company.- Creating a website.- Day to day operations.

- Responsible for streamlining operations of all the company stores and creating and implementing marketing strategies to improve sales for the company.

- Spread awareness of the Pulse Smart Pen throughout the campus community

- Did various tasks which were assigned to me including report reconciliation and preparation, research on companies, managing marketing material and other office duties.

- Sold customers T-Mobile phone service and help them with any issues they have with their account- Brought over 400 customers into the T-Mobile network

- Organized and executed various campus and city-wide dance events including “Master Clash”, the largest break dance competition in the history of Pittsburgh.- Prepared sponsorship packets to be sent out to businesses and organizations- Built relationships with vendors to ensure a successful event- Led the project of a bi-weekly dance competition held at Carnegie Mellon, with a “Final Showdown” at the end of the semester
