Quantitative, analytical, curious mindset, with a fascination for machine learning and a passion for learning new things & working on real-world problems. 10+ years of experience in scientific research, using numerical optimisation, inverse theory, and large-scale simulations of earthquakes on HPC systems. My experience ranges from developing simulations based on large-scale datasets (terabytes), to conducting seismic fieldwork in remote areas, and includes collaborating internationally, supervising students, writing Python and Matlab data processing and analysis tools, and creating appealing visuals to gain insight into what the data is telling us.Passionate about language and the outdoors.
